Measuring Guide For BaseR Harness
Note: Measurements can be in inches and pounds or centimeters and kilos. Please measure over the clothing you will be wearing while jumping
Height: (Measured in inches or centimeters) Remove shoes, and stand up straight with feet shoulder width apart.
Weight: (Measured in pounds or kilos) Body weight with clothing.
Inseam: (Measured in inches or centimeters) Remove shoes, and stand with feet shoulder width apart. Place the beginning of the tape measure high in the crotch (at the point a snug pair of jeans crotch seam intersection would be). Do not bend the tape at the top in the crotch. Follow the inside of the leg to the floor. Do not cross the tape in front of the leg.
Chest/Bust: (Measured in inches or centimeters) Place the measuring tape over the nipples, with arms at the side. Do not over inflate the lungs.
Waist: (Measured in inches or centimeters) Place the measuring tape over the belly button, do not suck in your gut! Be sure you are measuring over your normal skydiving clothing. Ensure the tape is snug.
Thigh: (Measured in inches or centimeters) This measurement is necessary for those people who have unusually large or small upper thighs. Place the tape straight around the thigh as if measuring for a pair of pants.
Back: (Measured in inches or centimeters) Measure from Cervical Vertebrae 7 to Lumbar Vertebrae 4 (C-7 is the bony protrusion at the back of the neck; L-4 is located in the curve of your low back).
Shoulder Width: (Measured in inches or centimeters) Place the measuring tape at the seam of a T-shirts that fits, measure across the back without bending the tape to the other seam.
